About Me

Tarryn Finkelstein was born in Nelspruit on the 6th August 1985.

She started photography at a very young age with a small point and shoot camera.
For her 16th  Birthday her parents upgraded her equipment to a proper Canon film SLR Camera

After school she decided to study Business Management through UNISA and in her spare time was the official photographer for the local Harley Davidson club.
After a year of correspondence she finally decided to go with her passion and study photography at the National College of Proffesional Photography in Pretoria, where she received her Diploma in photography, along with two photographic awards.
And again upgraded her equipment to Digital.

After her studies she started working with Manus and Jennette van Dyk two highly acclaimed photographers. After a year of learning she went overseas to work on the ships as a photographer.

Tarryn Finkelstein now owns her own Photographic and Graphic design studio.

She traveled to Uganda and Rwanda to photograph the Gorrila’s and Chimpanzees, hopefully the first of many amazing adventures.

She was recently the only South African accepted to exhibit her work in a London gallery in the Black & White prints Category.
